A mandarin in season opens by itself and leaves your hands dry. When it’s hard to peel or the skin clings to the segments, it has almost always spent weeks in storage. Ours have just the right acidity: sweet without being cloying.
From November to February, depending on the year. Outside that window you won’t find them here: we’d rather not have them than sell them out of a cold store. You can see what’s available right now in the shop.
