Fifteen kilos of Persimon persimmons from the Ribera, picked at their peak. Persimon is the firm persimmon: you eat it like an apple, and it doesn’t have the mouth-drying astringency of the old-fashioned kind.
From October to December, and not much longer. It’s a short season with a hard stop: when it’s over, it’s over. If you’d like us to let you know when it starts, just tell us and we’ll write.
They arrive firm so they survive the journey. At room temperature they soften over the following days; if you prefer them crisp, the fridge holds them where they are.
Like everything else, they’re picked the day we prepare your order and never see a cold store.
